With the Clou Xtra’s Xtra stored heat you benefit in particular from a reduced consumption of wood. This is a result of the more than 100 kilograms of storage materials that are incorporated in every Clou Xtra fireplace.
What is particularly practical about this model is the adjustable convection air. There is a small lever on the top plate. This allows you to control how much heat should be given off to the room. The further open the gap – the faster it gets warm. The real highlight of this model is the integrated heat storage. It was installed invisibly above the combustion chamber. Imagine it being like a battery. During combustion it absorbs some of the heat and stores it. After several hours, the Austroflamm Clou Xtra begins to release this energy back into the room – even if the flames have long since gone out.
