But the Dexter is not just a feast for the eyes. It delivers on efficiency and performance too. With an impressive efficiency rating of 61.0% it ensures that you can enjoy the warmth without compromising on sustainability. The built-in air wash system keeps the glass clean, maintaining a clear view of the fire at all times. While small ventilation holes located in the top box allows for excess heat to be released back into the room to maximise the efficiency.
Crafted with precision, the Dexter features a robust steel body and a 6-inch (152mm) flue size, ensuring durability and optimal performance. Designed for wood burning only, it produces a generous heat output of 9.8kW, keeping you and your loved ones comfortably warm even on chilly evenings.
You don’t want to wait a long time for the warmth after stoking it up? You don’t have to do that with the Austroflamm Dexter, because the body has a convection jacket. This steel jacket sucks in the cold air on the floor, guides it past the combustion chamber and releases it back into the living area as warm air on the top. Advantage: The heat generated is quickly distributed in the room and the whole thing works via the natural convection of the air, i.e., without a fan, batteries or power connection. In order for the Austroflamm Dexter fireplace to heat up quickly, the combustion chamber was completely covered with a Keramott lining.
Internally every Austroflamm fire features a Keramott lining. Keramott is a patented product that is exclusive to Austroflamm. This material excels by an exceptional ratio between thermal insulation and heat conduction. Consequently, the combustion chamber reaches higher temperatures sooner, allowing for a clean, low-emission combustion.
