With their curious minds and wandering fingers, everything in and around the home becomes a safety risk when children are about. This robust powder coated steel hearth guard has been specifically designed to keep babies and toddlers far from the dangerous reach of your fireplace.
Featuring a classic three-fold design with a 67 cm wide gate, this fire guards open design allows the heat to circulate without obstruction. In addition a rear spreader bar allows you to fully encase the fireplace, but for added peace of mind, the guard can be fitted to the wall.

With this robust design, babies and toddlers can play safely around the warmth of the fireplace without reaching for the flames, making this fire guard a necessity in any home with small children.
Please note, it’s not possible to fully baby proof a fireplace. Babies, children and small pets should never be left alone in a room with an open fire, wood burner, or any other heat source – even with a fireguard. A child is also able to reach through the bars, therefore when using the gate always place it a minimum of 75 cm away from the source of the heat and a minimum of 90 cm from an open fire. Since every wood heater can reach different temperatures, the placing is intended as a guideline. Test your unit at maximum heat output before placing the guard. If the gate is hot to touch, move the gate further from the heat source, than the recommended minimum distance.
