1. Snap in half
The Firebuilder brick can be broken in half before lighting for a normal fire.
2. Light the edges
If lighting a whole Firebuilder, light along the edges. Large matches works best. Allow the flames establish before placing in the grate.
3. Put your fuel on the top
When the firelighter is lighting thoroughly add your preferred fuel. It will light any fuel, from difficult smokeless coal to wood.
